Easy Tomato Sauce
Just like Grandma used to make!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon of minced garlic or garlic paste
1 teaspoon of tomato paste
1 28 ounce can of San Marzano tomatoes (or a 24 ounce bottle of passata/tomato puree)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Ground pepper, to taste
Instructions
Heat up extra virgin oil over medium heat. Once hot, squirt a teaspoon of garlic paste and a teaspoon of tomato paste and toast for about 30 seconds.
Drain tomatoes, and add to pot. Add salt, Italian Seasoning, and several grinds of pepper.
Reduce to low heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring every 3-4 minutes.
